Michigan Wedding Photography in Beautiful Ann Arbor
Of all the places in Michigan to shoot as a wedding photographer, Ann Arbor is perhaps among the most popular places for its nature scenes and quaint downtown quality. As a Michigan wedding photographer living in Ann Arbor, I am in a unique position to judge. Having shot many a weddings and engagement pictures, I have come to know the great spots tucked away in the corners of downtown and country. There are three specific reason why I love this city, besides the obvious that it's a college town home of the U of M, and the fact that the Big House is here.
The first reason I love shooting Michigan wedding photography in Ann Arbor is for the richness of its natural parks and forests. Arborites will tell you that a park or lake is around every corner. The beautiful Botanical Gardens and Arboretium come to mind. The great thing about the Botanical Gardens is that they'r shot on the grounds, and you will get to shoot all day long without worrying about flash or low-light conditions.
Second, all you need to do is take a stroll down center campus called at the "Diag". The area is so pleasant and well-kept, it's sort of like standing in a park in the middle of town! At one corner you'll have a beautiful Dogwood tree, and at another you'll have spray-painting artwork on walls.
Finally, I would highly recommend stopping by the Law Quad in downtown Ann Arbor! The old columns and stone walls are a great backdrop. You will be blown away at the results. But what about if you get hungry along the way? Walk in to almost any of them and receive great food. My favorite is Ashley's and their waffle fries! Yummy! We are spoiled with such a gorgeous city.
